Join us for a work session focusing on
- problematic vowel and consonant sounds, including
- /o/ (e.g., "hope," "open," "don't")
- /aɪ/ (e.g., "spider," "ice cream" and "island")
- various consonant endings (e.g., "bag," lab," "best," "books")
- -ED endings (e.g., "cooked," "played," "needed")
- word stress (phrasal verbs and words as nouns or verbs),
- rhythm and intonation (applying principles of English prosody to audio transcripts of native speakers).
Participants will leave the workshop with a better understanding of how to identify and correct these areas of communication.
