How long will it take for my speech to improve?
This is probably the most frequently asked question and the hardest to answer. Most clients see some improvement with their communication problems after the first session. This is often the first time they have been able to specifically identify their communication problems and approach them in a systematic way. We will start by working on the problems that most significantly affect clarity. The total time it takes for clients to reach their goals depends on their starting points, the scope of their goals (i.e., are we working towards giving a presentation clearly, for example, or speaking with a General American accent?), and the amount of time they spend outside of sessions practicing what they have learned.

I'm proud of my accent, but I want to be better understood. Can you help me?
Absolutely! Many of our clients want to retain their accents but speak with more clarity. We will identify the sounds and aspects of your speech that are causing communication problems and help you to fix them.

How do I schedule or cancel a session?
Contact us to set up a free consultation where we'll discuss your goals. Then we can set up your first session. Some clients prefer to set up recurring weekly sessions; others prefer to schedule by appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please contact your communication coach directly.

Do you work with nonprofits?

Do you take insurance?
No. Unfortunately, we cannot accept insurance, as we are set up as educational consultants, not a medical practice.

Who are your communication coaches?
Our coaches are native English speakers with graduate degrees in applied linguistics, ESL, or English who each have over 15 years of experience in this field. All have lived and worked abroad, struggling to communicate in a second language!
